About the Site
Cleveland was once one of the great industrial steel towns of the mid-west, but during the last 5 decades Cleveland has experienced devastating change. The population has decreased by over 50%, the educational system has fallen in to disrepair, and the prevailing attitude has been bleak. But it is a new day, Cleveland has been experiencing somewhat of a renaissance in it culture, direction and potential and there is a growing conviction that the Lord is moving in powerful ways in the region. Doors of kingdom opportunity are opening in the midst of the urban environment, in the midst of a rapidly developing refugee population and in the midst of collaborative kingdom minded churches and organizations. We are excited for you to serve with us as we serve the city of Cleveland.
Envision Cleveland seeks to bring community transformation by collaborating and assisting community organizations, local ministries and government to restore and improve the quality of life in neighborhoods across Cleveland. We do this through Community Impact, Local Ministry Impact and Hope Restorations.
With all that we do, it is our organization's desire to demonstrate the unconditional love of Jesus Christ to our neighbors through our service to them without expectation or differentiation, based on religion, ethnicity or socioeconomic status.
We seek to build bridges to reconnect marginalized people with the resources that individuals and communities need to thrive, both through direct services and local partnerships. These local partnerships with other non-profits, ministries and government agencies are designed to provide practical, holistic solutions to the ongoing needs of our Cleveland neighborhoods.
We seek to come alongside and assist local ministries in reaching their neighborhoods with the love and message of Jesus Christ. We do this by engaging local ministries relationally and then begin to dream with them on how we can serve, resource and assist in their efforts to reach their neighborhoods.
We seek to restore and return blighted properties back into productive use through rehabilitation and creative/innovative reuse. We desire to collaborate with local non-profits, for profits, ministries and government to provide rehabilitated properties for homes and usable spaces in neighborhoods across Cleveland.
